Chocolate Mask

Stock up on various essential oils and you’ll be on a ride to LusciousHair town in no time! And this chocolate mask doesn’t only sound yummy but will make your hair more tempting than any dessert! For this first of my homemade hair masks you’ll need 2 tablespoons of cocoa, enough warm milk to dissolve the cocoa in, a tablespoon of jojoba oil and the same amount of coconut and avocado oil. Mix it all up, add a few drops of lemon, lavender, geranium and cedar wood essential oils and apply to your hair. Wrap it up in a plastic bag or plastic foil and find something interesting to do during the next hour. Once that hour has passed, simply rinse the mask off and continue with your usual shampooing and conditioning routine.

2

Beer & Egg Yolk Mask for Fine Hair

Full of various nutrients and with the power to make flat hair seem fuller – beer is definitely worth trying out. And, in order to make this mask even better, simply add one egg yolk. So one egg yolk and 50mls of flat beer – how simpler can it be! Apply this mixture on your damp hair, wrap it in plastic and let it sit over the next 30 minutes.

3

Lemon Rinse

Often a bit greasy in the roots and somewhat dry in the ends, fine hair needs to be treated with products that will help it «brighten» up and the mixture containing equal parts of freshly squeezed lemon juice and water won’t only relieve it of product buildup but infuse it with lustrous shine and softness! Simply massage this mixture into your hair, then give it another 5 minutes before you rinse it off. This also happens to be one of the nice-smelling treatments for fine hair which means you can apply it after both conditioner and shampoo.

4

Avocado Pack

Oh, and let’s not forget avocado – the holy grail of lifeless, lackluster hair! And for the next on my list of DIY masks for thin hair you’ll need the flesh of one ripe avocado, 2 tablespoons of honey and 3 to 4 tablespoons of castor oil. Blend the ingredients to get a smooth paste which you will apply on your hair and leave it there for at least an hour.

5

Oat Mask for Fine Hair

When combined with castor oil and milk, oat flakes do wonders for thin hair so mix three tablespoons of each and add a few drops of vitamin A to create one of the coolest homemade hair masks ever! Massage the mixture into your scalp, leave it on for about 20 to 30 minutes and watch your hair go from dull and flat to super bouncy.

DIY Shampoo for Thicker Hair

Want thick luscious hair? Well, here’s one interesting DIY treatments you should definitely try out! It’s not a mask for fine hair but an «upgraded» shampoo you should use in your hair care routine and, knowing how popular this shampoo is in my country, I simply can’t but notice that it really works. Mix one bottle of natural nettle shampoo or baby shampoo, ¼ of a bottle of Panthenol drops, one vitamin B ampoule, ¼ of a bottle nettle leaf drops and ¼ of a bottle castor oil then pour this mixture into a larger shampoo bottle and use as a shampoo.

Potato &Aloe Vera Mask

If you’re worried about fallout and would like to do something to ensure optimal hair growth and strength, you’ll definitely want to give this last on my list of DIY masks for thin hair a shot. Start by peeling one potato and pressing out its juice than use that juice, along 2 tablespoons of Aloe Vera gel, 1 tablespoon of honey and one ampoule of vitamins A and E. Rub this mixture into your scalp, giving yourself a nice head massage as you do so. Leave it on minimum two hours and, for best results, repeat this treatment one more time during the week.

Are you going to be trying out any of these DIY masks for thin hair and, if yes, which homemade masks are your favorites?
