The Voluminous Faux Perm at 2:43

Adding texture to your hair through tight corkscrew curls is one of the hottest hair trends of 2017. Celebrities such as Rihanna and Fearne Cotton have supported this look. It is a bold statement hairstyle. Don't worry about looking too 80's with this look, the bigger the better and you can style it after it's curled. This look is time-consuming, as each section of hair has to be curled individually so patience is fundamental.

If you have thick straight hair this could be a tedious task but the end look is worth it. It is a dramatic, fun and edgy hairstyle great for parties. A super dramatic version of this look was showcased at New York Fashion week, spring 2017 by the models of ‘The Blonds'.

On the other end of the spectrum from the voluminous curls, 2017 hair trend is about the sleek straight hair. The straightened hair trend was seen at several fashion week catwalks. If you want to go for a dramatic change why not try this hair colour trend out. This is an out of the box look and is so pretty. I'm not sure how easily this will be achievable on darker hair without having in bleached.

The Tiger-eye Hair Trend at 0.39

Balayage is here to stay and was one of the hottest wearable hair trends of last year. Balayage is basically a hair colouring technique in which highlights are hand painted for a completely blended look.

In comes the Tiger- eye hair trend which is a variation of the Balayage and upgrade so to speak. It is a mixture of "tiger eye" colours from bronze, gold and dark brown hues. These colours are painted onto the hair using the Balayage technique creating a beautifully blended colour. Perfect to add warmth to your hair.

The great thing about Balayage is that it can be done at home as each strand is painted differently. This tutorial gives some good tips about doing this technique at home.
