There’s a trick to making your braid look fatter…holding the tail firmly, use your other hand to pull up toward the sky firmly on different sections of the braid starting with the tail and working ...See more your way back toward the top of the braid. You can also tease (back comb) each of the three sections of your braid (before braiding) and that should add more volume. Go to Sally beauty supply and try a 59 cent teasing comb (I forget what it’s true name is)

I have thin hair too:( BUT If you fan out the braids then it can make an appearance that your hair is thick and makes it look a little messy which I think is cute:)

You have to make your hair look thicker :) if you pull lightly on small sections going all the way down the braid it will make it look fatter and thicker… Hope this helps:):)

I too have long hair and it is super fine and straight . So I have learned that if you use a couple of curlers in your hair the night before , then use a ...See more brush and run it thru the curls once . After that fluff your hair and then spray on a little thickening hairspray . Then try out any braid , plain or fishtail and it makes even fine thin hair look spectacular . Just remember when you braid your hair to loosen the braid after you finish . Hope it works for you . ( If you don’t want to use curlers all night just use a curling iron or hot rollers )
