It is important to remember that essential oils should always be mixed with a carrier oil before using them on your skin. Some of the common carrier oils include coconut oil, almond oil, jojoba oil, sunflower oil, and olive oil. Here are some of the best essential oils for longer, healthier hair.

1. Lavender Essential Oil

Lavender essential oil has so many amazing uses, which is why it tops my list of essential oils for longer, healthier hair. When used as part of a hair treatment, it can help prevent hair loss, promote hair growth, and increase blood circulation. It’s a fantastic moisturizer, so it is also great for those that suffer from dandruff. Due to it’s calming properties, it can even help you fall asleep easier if used at night.

Homemade Remedy:
8-10 drops of lavender essential oil
4 tsp of a carrier oil

Massage into your scalp and leave in overnight if possible. Wash out in the morning.

2. Rosemary Essential Oil

Warm water
