Worry about your dry, damaged hair no more. I’ve got here some great home remedies to fix brittle ends, frizz, dullness and breakage.
Ingredients:
Equal parts
Coconut oil
Honey
Instructions:
Put the equal amounts of honey and coconut oil into a plastic container and heat gently in the microwave until it is a nice pouring consistency. Work it through your hair from roots to tip. Put on a shower cap or conditioner cap and leave for 30-60 minutes, then shampoo as usual.
Ingredients:
1 very ripe banana
1 ripe avocado
Instructions:
Peel and mash the fruit. Combine them so they are well mixed. Apply to your hair and leave for 30 minutes. Shampoo and condition as normal.
Ingredients:
1 quart of freshly brewed, unsweetened tea
Instructions:
Use the tea as a rinse after you shampoo.
For blondes, a chamomile tea is recommended. Brunettes should use black tea because that will enrich color and enhance shine.
Ingredients:
1 avocado
2 tbsp peppermint tea leaves
Instructions:
Mash the avocado very well and add the tea leaves. Mix until they are very well combined. Apply to your hair and leave on for 30 minutes before rinsing out.
Ingredients:
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp olive oil
3 egg whites
Instructions:
Combine all the ingredients until they’re really well mixed. Rub the mix into your hair. Cover with a shower cap or plastic wrap and leave for 30 minutes. Then rinse, shampoo and rinse again.
Ingredients:
1 egg
Small amount of your regular shampoo
Instructions:
Mix the egg and shampoo together until well combined. Apply all over your hair and leave to soak in for 5 minutes. Rinse very well.
Ingredients:
A few drops of sandalwood oil
A few drops of jojoba oil or olive oil
Instructions:
Mix together the two oils in your hand. Rub the mixture between your palms and then smooth over the ends of your hair. If you want to use this for all over, you can, but just be careful not to use too much and be sure to smooth it all out. You want a sleek sheen, not a greasy look.
Don’t forget, ladies – these aren’t miracle cures for dry and damaged hair. You still need to eat a healthy diet, use the right products and style with sympathy (e.g. give the heat a miss occasionally).
What’s the bane of your dry hair? Frizz? Split ends? Lack of shine?
