A Headband

One of the best things you can use to curl your hair is a headband. Sounds strange, I know, but stick with me here. Place the headband around your head so it sits on your forehead and comes down to the base of your neck in the back. It will look kind of like a hippie style. Then, separate your damp hair into sections, twist them and bring the ends up to secure under the headband. Use small sections for lots of curls and larger ones if you want looser, wider curls. Leave the headband on until morning, then loosen your twists and you’re all set.

UPD:

Headbands are a great option for curling your hair without using a curling iron or other hot tools. Not only are they easy to use, but they are also a great way to create a variety of looks for different occasions.

Headbands are available in a variety of materials, such as velvet, satin, and cotton, and come in a variety of colors and patterns. The material of the headband will determine how long the curls last, so it is important to choose the right material for the look you are trying to achieve. For example, velvet headbands are great for creating tight curls, while cotton headbands are better for creating loose waves.

When using a headband to curl your hair, it is important to make sure that the headband is secure and that your hair is damp. Once the headband is in place, you will need to separate your damp hair into sections and twist them. You can use small sections for tighter curls or larger sections for looser waves. Once the hair is twisted, bring the ends up to secure them under the headband. Leave the headband on overnight and in the morning, loosen the twists and you'll have beautiful curls.

Go with Buns

This works if you plan to sit around the house all day, but have evening events you’re going to. Dampen your hair, then create several buns all over your head with it. Secure each in place and go about your daily tasks. Just before you head out for the night, spritz the buns with hairspray and hit them each with a blast of hot air from your blow dryer. Undo the buns and go.

3

An Old T-shirt

Before you toss that old raggedy t-shirt you’re done with, use it curl your hair. Lay the shirt out on your table and cut it into strips with sharp scissors. Thinner strips will make smaller curls while wider ones will give you bigger ones. Dampen your hair. Working in sections, roll your hair up around a strip of the t-shirt, then fold the shirt and tie it to keep it from sliding out. Once your hair is dry, remove the t-shirt strips and you’re good to go.

UPD:

T-shirts are a great way to curl your hair without any heat. It’s a safe and easy way to get beautiful curls. The key is to use a t-shirt that is made from natural fibers like cotton. Synthetic materials like polyester won’t hold the curl as well.

When cutting the t-shirt into strips, make sure to use sharp scissors to get a clean cut. The strips should be about the same width as the curl you want. Thinner strips will give you smaller curls, while wider strips will give you bigger ones.

Once you have your t-shirt strips cut, you’ll want to dampen your hair. This will help the curl hold better. Start with the bottom layer of your hair and work up. Take a strip of the t-shirt and wrap it around a section of your hair, then tie it off. Continue this process until all of your hair is wrapped.

Let your hair dry completely before removing the t-shirt strips. You can let it air dry or use a blow dryer. Once the t-shirt strips are removed, you’ll have beautiful curls.

Braids

If you’re more of a looser, wavy curls kind of girl, this is the method for you. This is the technique I use most often because it’s super easy and you can wake up to a full head of curls. Divide your hair into three or four sections and braid each, securing them at the ends. Tight braids result in smaller waves while looser braids mean looser curls.

UPD:

Braiding is a great way to achieve loose, wavy curls without using heat. It's also really easy to do and requires no special tools. All you need to do is divide your hair into three or four sections and braid each section. The tighter you braid, the smaller the waves will be. You can also leave the braids in overnight for more defined curls. This is a great option for those who want to avoid the damage caused by heat styling.

5

A Tube Sock

Before you toss your partner’s tube sock with the hole it in, use it to curl your hair. Put your hair into a ponytail to start. Cut the toe off the sock. Thread your ponytail through the sock and roll your strands around the sock, securing them underneath to form a bun. Leave the contraption in place until your hair dries, then release your hair for lustrous curls you’re going to love.

Sock Braid

This is a variation on a couple of the techniques listed above, but could be the one you love best. Braid together three socks and wrap your hair, in sections, around the braid. Secure in place and allow to dry. Remove the sock braids and loosen the curls with your fingers to create a fabulous head of curls.

7

An Old Pillowcase

This is similar to the t-shirt method, but many people like the results better. Cut an old pillowcase into strips. Start the top of your head, working in sections. Leave a “tail” of material at the crown of your head and wrap your hair around the strip in a downward pattern. Secure your hair and let it dry.

Are you rushing off to curl your hair right now? It’s always nice to go to bed with damp hair and wake up to curls you love, am I right? Which method are you going to try first?

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

Totally helpful for people like me who just can't curl their hair😁

Don't use the head band or at least be really careful. Last time I tried it, it got tangled into my hair and it was a bitch to brush out

On number 4, braids, I thought it said, "If you're more of a loser, then this is the kind of braids for you!" And I thought: Omigosh I do braids all the time! And I cried a little bit because I thought I was a loser, then I reread it and realized it said LOOSER!!!! I laughed so much!!! xD

Irene, that only happens if you are not careful while either putting the hair in or taking it out. That used to happen to me, but with a little practice, it becomes a lot easier.

#6 I wish you could include images of videos of it technques.. That would be more helpful..I'm Deffo gonna give it a go after having experienced ' dressing gown belt ' curls

Do you have any tutorials or a YouTube account I'm a visual learner so it's hard for me to actually read it especially #7 lol #suggestion
