I’m constantly on the look out for the best hair creams out there, almost too often, if you want to know the truth. I have big, thick and slightly dry and coarse hair. I don’t use hair spray, gels, serums or any other styling products because my hair is already so dry, I don’t want to damage it, and hate when it gets that sticky feeling. If you have dry hair like I do, or hard to manage hair, you might be wondering what you can do to tame down your mane, and make it silky smooth. I have the answer for you: hair conditioning creams. These creams are my personal weapon in creating smooth, silky hair, all by just using them after I shower. I apply regular conditioner in the shower, and then, afterwards, I apply one or even two of the hair creams below, and then comb it while wet with a detangling comb. After that, I dry it with my hair dryer, and when I’m done, my hair is silky smooth, fly aways are gone, and trust me, if I go without these creams, I always regret it. These are my personal favorites below, but I’m always up for tips from all of you as well!
Technically, this is an oil, but because it creates a non-oily look to your hair, I am calling it one of the best hair creams of my personal choices. It’s really wonderful because although it’s an oil, it is light in texture, and it makes your hair incredibly soft and shiny. All you need to do is apply a dime sized amount in the palm of your hand, rub your hands together, and then rub your hands through the bottom portion of your hair strands, as if you were combing them with your fingers. Then, dry as normal, and you won’t believe how awesome your hair looks!

This product replicates the same design as the Organix brand, and they’re comparable in both price and quality. I picked some of this up at my local supermarket a couple of months ago and have been using it ever since. It’s a cream based product, and I use about a quarter sized amount, which I rub on my hands through wet hair, and dry as normal. It smooths and silkens, just like any good hair cream should do. It’s called blow out cream, so it works well it you want a straighter look to your hair, but my hair also holds curl extremely well with this product, making it very versatile.

I pick up some of this hair cream when I run out of my other products, and I find it works really well for moisturizing my strands from the inside out. Unlike other hair creams used outside of the shower, I use this after I apply regular conditioner in the shower. Then I leave it in my hair, just barely rinse with cool water so it stays in my hair somewhat, and then when I get out of the shower, comb and blow dry as normal, without needing to apply another cream afterwards. It’s also cost effective as a small dime-sized amount usually does the trick for my long hair. You can find this product on the ethnic aisle, wherever hair products are sold, and I usually buy it from the dollar store, where it’s even cheaper.

Okay, now you might be wondering why you should apply cholesterol to your hair, but hang on a minute, if you will. This product has been a best seller for years, and with great reason. It’s full of healthy oils that won’t weigh your hair down, but will seriously condition it from the inside out. I apply it in the shower after my normal conditioner, barely rinse and then get out of the shower. Then, it’s ready to comb and be dried. Afterwards, my hair is soft, shiny and easy to manage without being oily. You can find this product online, or in drugstores, dollar stores, or supermarkets. It’s found on the ethnic aisle as well, and very reasonable in price.

I’ve used this product once, only because it’s kind of pricey, but it does work really well. It’s made of shea butter, and it helps to enhance the hair strands from the inside out. It also comes in an easy pump container, which I find helpful for if you want to use it in or outside of the shower. It’s great to repair damaged hair, and along with shea butter, it also features avocado and coconut oil. I would recommend using it after showering, right before combing your hair.

Another favorite product of mine from the Organix line is this amazing styling oil, which goes on dry, but leaves hair silky and shiny, just like any other hair cream here that I’ve mentioned. It also smells divine! It’s one of the newer products in the Organix line, and definitely one of their best. It’s non-greasy and helps repair coarse, dry and damaged hair very well. It needs to be applied after showering so you can comb it through, and it’s also great to use you have hair that tangles easily.

This cream smells so incredible, and it also has some of the most nutritious ingredients you could ask for. I apply it after showering in just a small amount on the lower half of my hair, and finger comb through my hair to work it in. It’s made of papaya, evening primrose oil, alfalfa, and pomegranate, which work together to nourish hair and revitalize your strands. It makes my hair incredibly shiny.
