1. Warm Olive Oil

Oils are an excellent way to restore and revive your hair. Not only is it all natural, you’ve probably got plenty of it so you don’t have to go out of your way to create this super easy treatment any time you need it. All you need for this treatment is 3-6 tablespoons of olive oil (depending on your hair length) and a shower cap or towel. If you don’t have olive oil, you can substitute almond, sesame, or avocado oil. Heat up the oil in the microwave or on the stovetop being careful not to overheat it. You want the oil to be warm not hot! Next, apply the oil all over from the root to the tips. Put your hair up and cover it with a shower cap or a warm, wet towel and relax for 20-30 minutes. Once your time is up, shampoo your hair well and admire your hair!

2. Coconut Oil, Honey, and Avocado

Coconut oil is freakishly amazing on its own but when you combine it with honey and avocado, you get a powerful hair treatment that’ll knock out dryness and damage. Grab a teaspoon of honey, 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and 1 tablespoon of a mashed up avocado and mix well. Once it’s all mixed up, grab a towel to drape over your shoulders, and apply the mixture all over your hair. Leave it in for 15-20 minutes and shampoo it out. Make sure you rinse well and you’re not left with any avocado in your hair!

7. Mayonnaise

I’ve been hearing about mayonnaise hair masks since I was little but never really thought much about them. Now, I’m realizing that there’s so much more to mayo than just adding flavor to tuna! Mayo adds moisture, shine, and volume to damaged hair so it’s an ideal DIY hair mask. Get a ¼ cup of mayonnaise and apply it all over your hair. If you can’t stand the smell, you can add a few drops of your favorite essential oil for a nice fragrance. Wrap your hair up in plastic wrap or a shower cap and wait 15 minutes. Shampoo as usual and you’re good to go!
