38 Gorgeous Braids You've Got to Learn Now ...

It's summer, and to my delight, gorgeous braids and braided hairstyles are still totally on-trend. So whether you're more Elsa or Katniss, or someone in between, here are a few gorgeous braided hairstyles to kick your summer style up a notch (or three).

1. Braided Headband

This is my favorite braided hairstyle, and it's actually pretty simple to do! Tiny braids from each side of your hair, pulled across to make a band, and fastened with a boddy pin or clip behind each ear. It's so pretty! Maybe not the best for humid summer days, but ideal for indoors (air conditioning) or cooler nights.

2. Braided Bangs

This one's easy, too! Start at one side, French braid across, then once you get past your temple, just braid the end and clip back.

4. Waterfall Braid

There are a million YouTube tutorials for this one, but I'm sure your stylist already knows how to do it. It's so pretty!

5. Braid and Bun

This one's simple, too! Do a loose French braid for the top of your hair, then fasten with a hair elastic at the top, and make a messy bun.

6. Fishtail+

Braid a few strands of hair, then gather all of your hair over one shoulder and make a fishtail braid. So Boho!

7. Braided Band

Tease the back of your hair for the "bump," then braid the long strands at your temples and pin them back under the "bump." So pretty!

8. Multiple French Braids

This one looks complicated, but it's not. Flip your head upside down, and do three of four French braids, securing each with a clip til you're done with all of them. Then gather all of them into a high ponytail, fasten with a hair elastic, and you're done!

12. Boho Milkmaid

Make two braids, wind them round your head, fasten with bobby pins, done!

15. The Flower Braid

    The tool is so easy to use, anyone can use it, either used on yourself or on someone else. You don't have to be a professional to make some really awesome looking braids of every type. The tool can even help anyone to make complex French braids. Give it a try, I know I will be doing that with my hair this Christmas! Going to get several for Christmas presents for my nieces.

    #24 can be done with a braiding tool that I have found on Wish/Geek/Flip. Basically it can be done straight or bent in one or more places with the tool. When you are using the tool you braid it right into the tool, but the tool doesn't come out until you unbraid your hair.
