1. Use Dry Shampoo to Go Longer between Washes

Of course this is the obvious use – this is what dry shampoo was invented for. So you don't want to shampoo your hair every day but are worried about the natural oils in your scalp that make your hair look greasy. Try a wash free day and use dry shampoo instead. You might need to experiment with a few to find the one that works best for your hair. Try travel sizes to avoid expense and waste.

2. You Can Make Bombshell Waves Using Dry Shampoo

Look like a glam goddess using your dry shampoo. You will need a 1-inch clampless curling wand to create waves in 2-inch sections. Next up, spray some dry shampoo on your roots. Now, flip your head over and start running your fingers gently through your hair. You can use a hairspray to set it and maintain volume.

3. Dry Shampoo Can Protect Your Hair from Humidity

Irrespective of your hair texture, you can use your dry shampoo to tame your mane even in humid weather. Simply apply dry shampoo to your roots and style as usual. This will keep you from dealing with limp locks even if it is humid out there. You may want to use a mousse-based dry shampoo if you have curly or wavy hair – this will help prevent frizz.

4. Dry Shampoo is Great when You Don’t Have Time to Shower after the Gym

One of many things you can do with dry shampoo is to avoid sweat-matted, frizzy hair after a workout. If your workout session doesn't start at the end of the day, the chances are you have some post-gym plans for the day as well. Your dry shampoo will help you get a fresh look without even getting your hair wet. Simply apply it directly to your hairline as well as the under layers of your hair for a perfect look.

5. You Can Use Dry Shampoo Overnight Too

You cannot use your regular shampoo before going to bed and notice its effects when you wake up the next morning – your hair will look untidy and frizzy. Dry shampoo is definitely an exception because you can use it at night and save yourself from shampooing in the morning. Just spray some of it on your roots and tie your hair, preferably in a top knot. The shampoo will work to absorb dirt and oils for a fresh, clean mane.

6. Dry Shampoo Can Give You Bigger, Better Hair

You can rely on dry shampoo for longer hair with a better hair texture. It's suitable even for hair that's thin. It revitalizes the roots and adds volume to your hair. The good thing is that unlike many other products, the volume it adds to your thin hair will stay for the rest of the day. You can even find dry shampoos especially designed to give you a volume boost.

7. Dry Shampoo is Family Friendly

Your guy can use dry shampoo too – either to go for longer between washes, after the gym, or even as a pre-date “freshener-upper” when going out straight from work. And guess what – there are even dry shampoos formulated for dogs, so you can jeep your pampered pooch as beautiful as you.

Dry shampoo is trendy and cool and that’s great because we love products that make our life easier – right? Do you use dry shampoo?

Can anyone suggest me any good dry shampoos?

Or you can make your own dry shampoo powder?

Except you shouldn't use dry shampoo unless you have to. Most have alcohol in it, causing breakage and dryness at the root of the hair. What happens when you have dryness at your roots? Your scalp produces more oil to try and make the hair healthy again. And then you spray more dry shampoo on it and have breakage. It can also clog the follicles on your scalp, causing in grown hairs on short or broken hair, and can cause slow growth or growth to stop. You should only use it if you absolutely have to.

What is the nicest smelling dry shampoo? It seems to me that this is a terrific approach to getting a nice aroma into hair EVEN after it's been freshly shampooed.

Thank you for that info, Neecey. I have dry shampoo in aerosol form & I have never been successful with using it the few times I have tried using it. Now I have more information, from this article & from you, that I can use for future reference. Thank you once again. It's greatly appreciated info from both you & Alyx. Thank you Alyx for giving your information for not using the product at all, prompting Neecey to respond. My best wishes for you both.

WinnieTHEpoooh try Herbal Essences dry shampoo. It works good. Try the one that smells like roses:)

I've heard corn starch for light hair and cocoa powder for darker hair! I wouldn't mind smelling like chocolate personally :)
