1. Get a Good Quality Cut

Step one to having a good hair day every day is to get a quality haircut. You can get lucky but it’s rare to walk in a salon, give a vague description and love the results. Find a stylist you love and build a rapport with her. Don’t be afraid to tell her what you want. The more information you give her, the better your chances are of having the haircut you’re dreaming of.

2. Invest in a Good Shampoo and Conditioner

I know they’re expensive! I feel the pinch of investing in a good shampoo and conditioner too but they really are worth it. You’ll notice such a difference in styling when you’re using shampoo and conditioner that’re right for your hair. You can use my little trick in order to slash what you’re spending on shampoo and conditioner by using a cheaper brand on days you’re just lounging around the house. You can also save money by with only washing your hair every other day.

3. Embrace Your Natural Texture

We all love to wear many different styles. After all, that’s part of the fun of being a girl! But it isn’t fun to spend 45 minutes straightening your hair if it’s naturally wavy or 30 minutes trying to coax curls into stick straight hair. It’s fine to play with different styles and enjoy the unique looks you can wear. But embracing the natural texture of your hair is a good thing to give some thought to. You may not realize it but your natural curls or naturally straight hair is probably what others envy about you.

4. Discover the Magic of Dry Shampoo

I have to admit that I was a little late jumping on this wagon. I’ve only recently discovered the magic of dry shampoo. It’s amazing at adding texture to your hair when you’re styling it. It also gives you volume if that’s something you need like I do. Not to mention that it’s wonderful at hiding that your hair is due for a wash!

5. Don’t Settle when It Comes to Hair Tools

You wouldn’t believe how important this is! And what a tremendous difference it makes! If you’ve never used high end hair tools then you’re missing out. Once I discovered Hot Tools curling irons, there was no substitute for me. And I’m deeply in love with my Jilbere Flat Iron; it’s absolutely fab!

6. Treat Your Hair with Care

Sometimes we don’t give our hair the TLC it needs. We’re in a hurry and tend to treat it more roughly than we should. Ever been there? Your hair needs gentle care. Comb carefully, condition well and be selective in which accessories you choose for your hair.

7. Have a Go-to Five Minute Style for Crazy Days

Everybody needs a go-to style they can count on for crazy days. This should be a style you can do quickly and looks flattering on you. It’s going to be something different for everyone. It could be a French twist, a side braid or the ever-faithful messy bun. Knowing you can always fall back on a quick style that works in an emergency is a good thing.

I just wash my hair whenever I take a bath. I shampoo my hair when I think it already needs to be cleaned.

You need this @AlexisKeeter

I had long hair. It was up to my butt but it was damage, so I got it cut, but it feels so great and healthy and it's the best thing I've ever done.

I 100%

I use a homemade treatment, egg, olive oil, honey, coconut oil, or avocado oil, for 30 minutes. It feeds the hair and take away friss, as easy as that.

Dry shampoo keeps getting it's props on these hair posts. I'll have to give it a go.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when girls want to keep their long hair so they dont get it cut no matter how dry and damaged it looks. It is honestly so annoying and unfortunate!
