As stressful as going back to school might seem there are still plenty of things to get excited about! First off, it’s fall so you can look forward to all the changing colors around you, new friends, new adventures, and the start of what could be your best semester (or quarter) yet. A fun way to kick off the transition from summer to fall is by trying something different with your hair. There are plenty of ways to show off your individual style and try something new no matter what length, but for this post, we’re focusing on medium-length hair. Check out some of these cute and creative hairstyles brought to you by some of your favorite YTers!
Here we have Thalita Makes showing us how to create 7 different hairstyles in 7 minutes! Perfect for us lazy girls who likes to keep things super simple in the morning and get in as much beauty sleep as possible. Who wants to fuss with hair when you could be spending that extra time dreaming about Channing Tatum!
Laura Lee shows us some super cute and simple styles that require no heat tools! Although her hair is a little longer than medium, I think all of them are still doable on hair that’s a little shorter. I think I agree with her on that headband hairstyle, it’s so easy but you could never tell by looking at it!
Can you keep up with Lizzie Loves? She shows us how to create 6 hairstyles for short or medium hair in less than 5 minutes! You’ve got a little bit of everything from sporty to chic so no matter what sort of mood you’re in that day, she’s got you covered.
I really love JaaackJack’s hair color in this video! But aside from that, she shows you how to create some classic hairdos that are fairly easy to recreate, especially if you’re used to braiding your hair. I think it’s really important to lay off the curling or flat iron once in awhile to give your hair a break so these hairstyles are great!
Lonyea Maiden offers some fantastic hairstyling options for natural hair and a few of them are for 2nd or 3rd day hair! Anytime you can use 2nd or 3rd day hair to your advantage in doing your hair, it’s a win in my book. My favorite style was the 2 flat twists pinned back, it’s so versatile and looks so good!
LOVE Ingrid Nilsen! Although this is an older video of hers, the hairstyles are still perfect for school and fall. She uses a curling iron in this video but the hairstyles are still simple to do and shouldn’t take up a lot of time. Adding a little texture to your hair is an easy way to spice things up.
There will be those days when you’re running late but not to worry, Mimi Ikonn is going to show us 3 quick and chic ways to style your hair in mere minutes. Now, Mimi started with her hair already curled so these styles may work better if you’re on your 2nd day of curled hair or you have naturally curly hair.
More hairstyles for those rushed mornings! Tess Christine demonstrates 8 ways to look more put together when you’re in a hurry. Although these are technically heatless styles, her hair has some waves and texture so again, these styles may work better if you have natural curls or already styled hair from the day before.
Niki AKA Fancy Hair is well known for her hair hack videos but she’s also quite skilled in styling hair. This video features 23 heatless styles for various hair lengths and she also mentions people of all skill levels can recreate the looks. Most of these styles include braids, which can easily elevate your hair in seconds, so if you’re over the braided look, you might want to pass on this one.
Chelsea and Erin are showing us 5 different styles for both short and long hair that anyone can do. The styles are easy, simple, and great for when you want something that looks good but you don’t want to spend too much thinking about or styling your hair.
Superprincessjo demonstrates some awesome everyday styles for school, work, or play. Although she has SUPER long hair, this video is meant for ladies with medium to long hair so it shouldn’t be a problem if your hair is shorter than hers. What I liked best about these styles is that they’re simple but still really versatile so your hair looks appropriate no matter what pops up!
Will you try out any of these hairstyles? Let us know in the comments which was your favorite and what you’ll wear it with!
