Frequently asked questions

2 The Right Haircut

Did you know that having the wrong haircut can actually make your hair fall flat? If you've been trying to learn how to create volume in your hair, you've got to choose the right haircut! Lots of layers can actually stop the volume in your hair. Try a straight-across, blunt cut. Your hair will look voluminous and thick!

3 Blow-Drying

I know it's hard to blow dry your own hair, especially trying to blow dry it straight. If you take a round brush and just use it at the crown of your head, pulling at the roots, I promise you'll get all of the volume that you need! It'll also keep your hair looking beautiful and shiny all of the time!

4 Volumizing Shampoo/Conditioner

I love, love, love John Frieda's Volumizing shampoo and conditioner. Ladies, if you aren't using a volumizing shampoo and conditioner, try it! This is absolutely one of the best ways on how to create volume in your hair!

5 Teasing

You definitely don't have to tease your hair to death, but a little teasing at the crown is a great way to cause all sorts of volume! For me, I use the teasing right at the back and it really pushes the volume up and looks great! Try it ladies!

6 Scrunch Your Hair

If you have curly hair and you are looking for ways on how to create volume in hair, don't worry! When you are blow drying, just scrunch your hair up. It'll make your curls so much more pronounced and it will truly make your curls that much more voluminous!

7 Root Lifter

Finally, you want to make sure that you find a root lifter that really works. Paul Mitchell is mine and just a few sprays at the root of your hair along with a bit of blow drying with a round brush will really make your hair look voluminous! What's your favorite root lifter ladies?

There you have it! All of the ways on how to create volume in hair. So ladies, what's your favorite way on how to create volume in hair? Do you try anything different?
