1

Skip a Wash or Two

With dry shampoos being more popular than ever, skipping a wash or two should be no problem. In fact, stylists say that your hair looks best when the natural oils that start in the scalp are allowed to reach the ends. Recommended shampooing is every other day—or even every third day!

2

Stick with One Thing

I get it, there are so many cool brands and scents to try on your. However, if you keep switching up shampoos, your hair won't be able to build up tolerance to any product. Stick with what you know already works best on your hair!

3

Don't over do It

In case you didn't already know, you should be concentrating your shampoo toward the scalp, and conditioning just the mid-shaft to the ends of your hair. Why? Your ends are the ones who need more moisture (think of those pesky split ends) and your roots need a lot less of it to maintain its volume!

4

Take Warm Showers

If you're one of those people who love to take scalding-hot showers, it probably isn't helping your hair so much. Warm water helps open your hair's cuticles to really allow shampoo and conditioner to do their job! After your warm shower, rinse your hair with cold water because it helps close the cuticles and seal in all the moisture from the conditioner, making your hair appear shiny and healthy.

5

Be Careful with Colored Hair

Colored hair absorbs and releases water much more easily. Which means, when the water leaves, so does some of the color. So don't take your sweet time rinsing off those locks!

Also don't brush your hair when it's wet.

I have got a lot scanty hair or say hair thinning is it due to stress??tel me d best oil plzz n does sulphur affect ur hair badly??

As for showering, how far you take your washes depends on what your hair is like, straight hair needs washed more frequently because the oils get down your hair strand faster, and the curliest your hair the longer it takes. This also goes with how coarse the hair is. And when it comes to products, it doesn't matter if you switch brands and types as long as you make sure the ph is in balance with you. A product with a 4.5 to 5.5 ph will help keep your hair healthy.

Overnight coconut oil hair wrap (stuff that I'd eat) epically after the years of chemical abuse!

Definitely agree not to use too much product I stick to one thing

Having very short hair I use a small body massager every day instead of brush or comb. Helps the circulation.

*especially

I used to wash my hair every second day, but this year have cut it down to just twice a week and learned to wear my hair up on the third day! So, 104 washes per year rather than 182! My hair is much thicker and less damaged, I'm pleased with the result, although I do miss that 'clean hair' feeling every second day!

Drink lots of water!! :)
