Look, it's summer. It's hot. I don't have the time or patience to deal with a blow-dryer or flat iron, but... I still want to look pretty and polished. So I've been trying out some simple but chic lazy-girl styles to see which work best for even the hottest of days. Here are a few of my faves, all of which can be mastered in less than 8 minutes.

1. Half-up Bun
Gather the top of you hair into a ponytail, twist it into a bun and secure with pins. Done.
2. Upside down Braid Bun
I love this one! Bend at the waist and braid the bottom part of your hair, then once you reach the hair just behind your ears, gather everything into a ponytail, and twist it into a bun. Secure with pins, and a little spray.
Frequently asked questions
3. Criss-Cross Low Bun
This looks so pretty and polished, but you can literally do it in the car in five minutes.
4. Low Twist Bun
Make a low ponytail, and divide it into two sections. Twist each section, then wind into a low bun and (you guessed it) secure it with pins.
5. Boho Band
So boho, so sweet, so simple! Place your fave embellished elastic headband just where you want it, then twist and tuck sections of your hair into the back. The elastic keeps your hair in place without pins.

6. Bandana
Create a high bun or pony, then use a bandana to add a little color (and to hide all the weird little bumps in your messy hair).
7. Twisted Halo
Literally, this can be done in less than three minutes. I use pins to secure the twist once it's done, and a little spritz of spray.
8. Winding Side Braid
The little braid is what takes the longest, and I can whip that down in just a few seconds. This is way prettier than you'd think with so little effort.
9. Simple Chignon
Again, this looks a lot more office-ready than you'd think, after spending only six minutes. You can even do it when your hair is wet, which is always a plus.
Which of these super-easy styles is your summer go-to? Or is there another way you do your hair when you're feeling extra-lazy but you still need to leave the house?
