Easy Hairstyles that don’t require a lot of time or styling aids are just what a girl needs to survive all those bad hair days that often occur at the worst possible time. And whether it’s an important date, business meeting or a black tie event you don’t have enough time to prepare for, you certainly deserve to look as great as always! Luckily, there are plenty of easy hairstyles that won’t require more than 5 minutes of your time so, whenever you need to look fabulous and you need to do it fast, opt for these 7 easy hairstyles right here.
1 Messy Side Braid
This is one of my favorite easy hairstyles and it’s especially great in the summer because you don’t really have to try to make it perfect. In fact, the messier your hair is the better! Simply sweep your hair to the side, braid it, secure the loose strands with a few bobby pins and add an interesting accessory like a big flower, glittery headband or a feather.
Frequently asked questions
2 Low Red Carpet Bun
This 5-minute wonder will certainly get you out of a lot of sticky situations! In fact, I bet your hubby’s going to be shocked when you start being the one to say “Oh, come on, just grab your coat and let’s go!” LOL! All you need to is to comb your hair back neatly and secure it into a low ponytail right at the nape of your neck. Comb the ponytail until it’s sleek and shiny, twist it, wrap it around its base and secure from all sides using large bobby pins you’ll simply push inside. Spray heavily for extra hold and don’t forget to put on the biggest, flashiest pair of earrings you own!
3 Casual Knot
Tease the hair on the top of your head, make a small but high pouf and secure it with two bobby pins. Once you’ve got that sorted out, it’s time to focus on the knot which you’ll make by tying the rest of your hair into a regular ponytail, then wrapping it tightly around its base to resemble a knot. Secure it with a second band and allow a few ends to peak out.
4 Messy Bun
The easiest of all easy hairstyles, a messy bun so simple to do that I’m not even sure if I should explain anything. But here it is anyways, just in case you’ve never thought of it as an actual hairstyle. It looks best on wavy or curly hair and is achieved by sweeping your hair back and simply tying it to look messy. Now, how simple is that?! Pluck a few strands out, fix it with a few bobby pins if you must and voila!
5 Scarved- up
Speaking about gorgeous up-dos that don’t require hours of hard work- have you tried scarves? There are dozens of interesting ways to tie a scarf and create a truly magnificent hairstyle even on a worst bad hair day! Wrap it around like a headband to cover up the fact that you’ve forgotten to dye your hair, braid it with your hair on days when you don’t want to bother with volumizing products or wrap it like a turban in case your hair is a total mess and you don’t have a minute to waste on styling it.
6 Princess Braids
Need more easy hairstyles? Well, here’s one romantic Middle Age hairstyle that always helps me look great even if my hair is too poufy in all the wrong places or in desperate need of a cut. Let your hair down and take a small section of hair either right above your ear (temple area) or right under it (depends on your face shape and hairstyle). Make a small but neat braid and another one on the other side then tie those two braids back using a small, silicone band.
7 Headband Braid
Some of the best, most stylish easy hairstyles involve braids and since these styles are absolutely perfect for school I’ll give you not one but two ideas on how to create a cute band by braiding your hair only. First is a fast, thin, 2 minute boho braid you’ll get by taking a small section of hair right above your ear, braiding it, placing that braid over your forehead and securing it with 2 small bobby pins. And, if that seems too simple, section your bangs and braid them tightly starting from one ear, all the way to the other.
8 Runway Ponytail
A glamorous, slightly messy ponytail is one of those easy hairstyles that certainly won’t require more than five minutes of your time and will make you look super-chic. So, whenever your hair declares a war, just sweep it in a ponytail leaving one tiny section out, tease the base of the ponytail and wrap the section you’ve left out to hide the band. Now, I’m sure I’ve seen that on Fashion TV!
As you can see, there are tons of glamorous but totally easy hairstyles at your disposal. You don't have to take a lot of time out of your day to give yourself a gorgeous 'do! When are you going to give these interesting easy hairstyles a shot and which one is going to be the first? I’d love to hear your ideas, too, so feel free to suggest as many easy hairstyles as you can think of.
