Choose the Right Shampoo

The right shampoo is a great way to give body to straight hair. If you choose the wrong shampoo, it can weigh your hair down and make it look flat. Instead, look for a shampoo that promises to give your hair volume. For that matter, you need choose the right conditioner as well. Look for something lightweight that will give your hair added volume.

Having straight hair can be a great look, but it can also lack volume and body. This can be especially true for those with fine hair, as it can often look limp and lifeless. Fortunately, there are a few simple steps you can take to give body to straight hair and make it look full and vibrant.

The first step is to choose the right shampoo and conditioner. Look for shampoos that are specifically designed to add volume and body to straight hair. These shampoos are often labeled as “volumizing” and are usually made with lighter ingredients that won’t weigh down the hair. Additionally, look for a conditioner that is lightweight and won’t leave your hair feeling weighed down.

Another way to give body to straight hair is to use a volumizing mousse. This type of styling product helps to give the hair more texture and body, and can be applied to damp hair before blow-drying. Additionally, you can use a round brush when blow-drying your hair to create more volume.

2

Braid It

You can also give your hair body by braiding it. If you braid it while it is damp, let it dry, then remove the braids, you'll have lots of waves and body. Remember, however, the smaller the braids, the more the kinks. If you want big, loose waves, then you need to make thick braids. Also, never brush your hair after you take your braids out. Finger comb your hair instead, and do it gently.

3

Curl It

Curling your hair is another way to give body to straight hair. You can keep it curly, or brush out the curls once you're done. Either way, your hair will have bounce and body. A little hairspray while you're curling each section will help add volume as well.

Curls are a great way to add body to straight hair. Curling your hair can give you a variety of looks, from tight ringlets to loose beachy waves. The best way to achieve this look is to use a curling iron, which comes in a range of sizes to create different types of curls. For a classic curling look, start by dividing your hair into sections and clamping a section of hair around the curling iron barrel. Hold the iron in place for a few seconds until the hair is curled, then release and repeat until all the sections are finished. For a more natural look, use a larger barrel and hold the iron in place for a shorter amount of time.

To add extra volume, try using a volumizing spray or mousse before curling your hair. This will help to add texture and hold the curls in place. If you want to keep the curls in place all day, use a light hairspray after styling.

Flat Iron Tricks

There are many things you can do with a flat iron as well, since it can be used to curl your hair. Mostly, however, if you remember to start as close to the root of each second of hair as possible, you'll be giving yourself a lot of lift. Sometimes that is absolutely all you need for a little extra body.

Flat ironing is a great way to give your straight hair some extra body. It is important to start as close to the root of each section of hair as possible to get the most lift. You can also use a flat iron to curl your hair, although it takes some practice to master the technique.

A few tips for using a flat iron to give your hair body:

  1. Start with clean, dry hair. Using a flat iron on wet or damp hair can damage your hair.

  2. Use a heat protectant before using the flat iron. This will help protect your hair from heat damage.

  3. Divide your hair into sections and take your time. Don’t rush the process or you may end up with an uneven result.

  4. Start at the root of each section and use a slow, steady motion. Don’t press too hard on the flat iron or you may end up with flat, limp hair.

  5. Use a lower heat setting if you have fine hair. Higher heat settings can damage fine hair.

  6. Use a light hairspray after flat ironing to help hold the style in place.

5

Dry It Right

You also have to be careful about the way you dry your hair. You don't want to use too much heat, because that will leave your hair flat. Instead, try to towel dry it as much as possible. When you do need to use your hair dryer, don't put it on the "hot" setting. Try "warm" or "cool" as much as you can.

When it comes to giving body to straight hair, drying your hair correctly is essential. Towel drying your hair is the best way to remove excess moisture without damaging it with too much heat. If you must use a hairdryer, make sure to use the low setting, such as “warm” or “cool”. High heat settings can leave your hair looking flat and lifeless.

When you’re using a hairdryer, be sure to keep it at least 6 inches away from your hair. This will help to ensure that you don’t damage your hair with too much heat. Also, make sure to use a diffuser attachment if you’re using a hairdryer to give body to your hair. This will help to spread the heat evenly and prevent your hair from becoming too dry.

When you’re done drying your hair, you may want to try using a texturizing spray or mousse. These products can help to create more volume and texture in your hair. Additionally, you may want to try using a volumizing shampoo and conditioner. These products are specifically designed to give your hair more body and lift.

Use the Right Products

Using the right product is another great way to give body to straight hair. However, you have to be careful here as well. While products that promise body and volume are great, you have to make sure they aren't too heavy. Otherwise, they're just going to drag your hair down and make it look just as flat as it did before.

Using the right products is one of the most important steps to giving body to straight hair. When selecting products, it is important to make sure they are not too heavy, as this can drag the hair down and make it look just as flat as it did before.

Hair mousse is one of the most popular products for adding body and volume to straight hair. This lightweight foam helps to keep curls in place, while also adding texture and volume. When applying mousse, it is important to make sure it is evenly distributed throughout the hair.

Another great product for adding body to straight hair is hairspray. Hairspray helps to hold curls in place, while also adding a bit of extra volume. When using hairspray, it is important to make sure it is applied evenly throughout the hair.

Dry shampoo is another great product for adding body to straight hair. Dry shampoo helps to absorb excess oil and adds texture and volume. When using dry shampoo, it is important to make sure it is applied to the scalp and not directly to the hair.

Don't Wash Away Your Volume

Finally, I've said it before and I'll say it again: do not wash your hair every single day. When you wash your hair every day, you are literally washing away all your volume. Just wash your hair every other day; that way, you keep the natural moisture your hair needs to have body and life.

You might be tempted to despair over your flat hair, but there's really no reason too. Look at all the ways to give body to straight hair! You can have tons of volume and body, and it won't take you that much effort. How do you deal with those flat hair days?

Help? D: You say not to wash your hair everyday, but i really need to. For one thing, my hair is pretty oily... And, I have pretty bad dandruff. I've never lost my volume from washing it the way I do... So.... Is it still bad?

I have flat straight hair that is sometimes oily. That is why I love to find products that address this problem, and can give me a lift of body to my hair. I love the scent of Shielo's Volume products and that plays a role in choosing this product. I don't always use a conditioner for volume, but in this case I feel it is a benefit to use it more often. I recommend Shielo's full line of Volume products.

healthyMom, Thanks for the tip! I haven't tried Shielo, but I'll be on the lookout!
