1. Braid into a Bun

Topping this list of hairstyles for humid weather is the surprisingly easy braid into a bun. Start by parting your hair on the side and section off a one inch section on the side with more hair. Start at the side part and begin French braiding all the way down to the end of the hair, and secure with a hair elastic. Now, gather the rest of your hair and create a low messy bun at the nape of your neck, or off to the side.

2. Top Knot

For a super-easy look, gather your hair in a tight ponytail and secure with a hair elastic. Slick back the hair using a styling cream or gel for an even sleeker look. Next, take the ponytail, twist it all the way, and begin wrapping it into a bun around the hair elastic. Secure with bobby pins, and you're all set!

3. Messy Bun

For a more casual bun, gather the hair very loosely and tie in to a ponytail. Take the ponytail and gather it up in a pile on top of the hair elastic, and wrap another hair elastic haphazardly around the hair--the messier the better! Next, start pulling apart the bun in all directions to make it more voluminous, and also pull out a few face-framing pieces around the hairline.

4. Bun into a Headband

This 'do looks tricky, but is actually not as difficult as you'd think! Place an elastic headband around your head so that the the top is placed over the forehead and the bottom lies right behind the ears (over the hair!) and around the bottom of your head. Next, take your hair, bring it up towards the headband, and tuck it deep into the headband so that a loose pouf of hair is left out. Secure the tucked hair with the headband, an elastic, or bobby pins, and pull and shape the pouf as desired.

Topsy tails aren't just a style your mom used to do for you as a little girl. In humid weather, this dressed-up style is perfect. Make a low ponytail and secure with a hair elastic. Slowly drag the hair elastic down an inch or two. Next, make a hole in the middle of the area just above the hair elastic with your fingers, and bring the ponytail up and through the hole. Pull the ponytail all the way through, and voilà!

Switch up the average French braid just by changing directions.
