Here are some hairstyles you should definitely try this summer. Summer time means unfortunate sweat and less clothing. For us ladies with long and thick hair, it is often hard to a cute hairstyle that's also practical. Even though we do want to wear our hair down, the humidity makes it puffy and frizzy. Lots of times, we ladies don’t have a lot of options when it comes to hairstyles in the summer, so the below styles are hairstyles you should definitely try this summer!

1. Natural Waves
One of my top hairstyles you should definitely try this summer, is natural hair. There is no sexier hair than the look of day old waves. You can easily achieve this look by wrapping your hair around a large barrel curling iron, or just wrap your hair in circles while wet and pin it. You can do this before going to bed so when you wake up you have that natural messy look.
2. High Bun
Lots of celebs are pulling all their hair back into a bun that sits atop their head. This is such an adorable look while still look a bit edgy. Keep the bun a tad messy if you are looking to add a little spice, or make it perfect for a very put together look.

3. Pony Tail
Don’t roll your eyes. Just hear me out. This can be so simple and fast while running out the door, but can also be sophisticated. If you are wearing a strapless dress, pulling your hair up really brings out your shoulders and a sleek back pony tail will look relaxed and hot. This look really makes you look laid back while still looking put together, and guys love it.
4. Fish Tail Braid
My personal go to hairstyle, a side fish tail braid is all the rage right now. Blake Lively is a huge fan of this look, as well as Minka Kelly and Kim Kardashian. These ladies rock this hairstyle on the red carpet, and can take the look to the streets as well. Keeping your hair away from your face while looking sexy, who doesn’t want this?
5. Low Knot
This is a new and fresh way to tie your hair up this summer. Simply tie your hair in a low pony tail, and twist the pony tail then wrap around the base. This is such a relaxed way to look chic and is perfect for a summer backyard party or even a wedding. Just wrapping your hair in a low bun is easy and very relaxed.
6. Braided Headband
If you have super long hair and are willing to have your hair pulled back, this is a must try. I am sure we have all seen this look on the red carpet and have probably tried this over and over again in the mirror. If you need a bit more help with this, hop on YouTube for tons of tutorials on how to, but just simply braid a section by your ear and pin it around the crown of your head. That’s it!
7. Half up do
This is a no brainer and can work for any hair type. Slick the hair above your hear back and pin it together for a very EASY and cute look. Leave it messy at the top for a more laid back look, or slick it back at the top for a sleek and sexy look. This has been a look that has been seen on the runways this year and has been somewhat rocked by the Kardashian sisters. Make sure to put this on your list of hairstyles to definitely try this summer.
8. Side Braid
If you love a French braid, the side braid is the hairstyle to try this summer. Pull your hair to one side, as if you were going for the old side ponytail look of your youth. Instead of gathering it up high, though, pull it together down just below your ear. Then separate the hair into three even chunks and braid them down over your shoulder until you get to the end. Secure the braid with an elastic ponytail holder. Make it fancy with a silk flower or small ribbon bow.
9. Wear a Headband
Headbands are back in a big way, so you can totally pull it off this summer. Wear a thick headband right on top of your head, just barely above your forehead. Use a bandana or a favorite scarf and tie it at the nape of your neck, letting your hair fall over it. Or wrap a thin headband around your head, just above your ears and across your forehead. Think 70s hippie cool. There, you're all set to go, no matter what the summer brings.
I love, and wear, all of these summer styles! I especially love that fishtail braid, but how will you wear your hair this summer?
