Science has proven that sulfates, silicones, and parabens are bad for your hair due to their ability to act as detergents. Conditioners have natural cleansing like abilities and are much gentler on your strands. Co-washing has been adopted by many girls who are deciding to coddle their curls too, and many companies cater to the phenomenon. The only drawback is these cleansers do not lather much.
2. Sulfate, Silicone, and Paraben Free Shampoo Products
If you are not comfortable with the no-poo movement, and still want a bit of lather, then using shampoos that are sulfate, silicone, and paraben free is the next best thing. Along with investigating which products might be best for you, you might want to research keywords that will let you know by reading labels what products truly are sulfate, silicone, and paraben free.
3. Deep Conditioning
Those of us with naturally curly hair or even semi-curly hair need to use deep conditioning products on our hair due to the curl pattern. These patterns, while lovely and admired, stop our scalp's natural oils from being able to be distributed through our hair when brushing or combing, causing our hair to become drier than non-curly hair.

All you need is a blow dryer with a diffuser attachment. Your blow dryer might have come with one, but if not, many beauty supply stores sell them. Many curly-haired girls either dry their hair with the heat setting, all cool setting, or a combination of both. All you have to do is place your hair inside of the diffuser, and crunch upward toward your scalp. There are plenty of videos available online that can show you in the proper way to do this. If air drying is your preferred method of drying, then just apply your products, and go.
11. Microfiber Towel or T-shirt for Drying
Many curly-haired girls are fully aware of how regular towels, create frizz in the hair. If you do not have a microfiber towel, you can use a regular t-shirt. You would just have to leave it for a little bit longer to ensure proper drying time.
