1. Ballerina Bun

clothing, hair, hairstyle, bangs, black hair, One of my favorite sleek, easy updos is the ballerina bun. First, make sure your hair is long enough to pull up in a high ponytail. Then, proceed by brushing all your strands in the ponytail well so they’re smooth and tangle-free. Next, grab the base of the ponytail, below the elastic closest to your hand, with your left hand. Now, take your right hand and pull the ponytail around to make a loop. Pull the end of the ponytail through the part of hair in your right hand to make a loose knot. Now, just fold all the loose ends of the ponytail around the knot to make a bun. Pin them down with bobby pins. Finally, spray it with hairspray!

a strong-hold hairspray to keep your sleek masterpiece in place throughout the day. For an extra touch of elegance, you can wrap a strand of hair around the elastic before pinning to conceal it. This bun is perfect for both a day at the office or an evening out. The best part? It’s deceptively simple yet incredibly chic, and with a little bit of practice, it won’t take you more than a few minutes to perfect.

2. The Easier than It Looks Updo

hair, hairstyle, long hair, braid, chignon, A friend recommended this updo to me after seeing it online and it is really so easy to create and is absolutely beautiful too! To create this look, all you’ll be doing is making a teased, loose bun with the bottom section of your hair and securing it with bobby pins, and then taking the top half portion of your hair to create an upside down ponytail before pinning it loosely around into a bun as well. What you end up with is a beautiful hairstyle that looks like you paid major money for it. Oh, and as a bonus, it takes about 3 minutes to create once you get the hang of it!

The upside-down ponytail bun is a quick and easy style that can be done in five minutes or less. It's perfect for days when you don't have time to do a more complex hairstyle, but still want to look put-together. This style works best with medium to long hair, and can be done with wet or dry hair.

To create this look, start by gathering your hair into a high ponytail. Secure it with an elastic at the top of your head. Then, take the bottom portion of the ponytail and tuck it into the elastic, creating a loose upside-down 'tuck' effect. Once the ponytail is secure, give it a tug at the top to ensure it stays in place. If necessary, use bobby pins to secure any loose strands at the back of your head.

This style is great for any occasion and can be dressed up or down, depending on the look you're going for. For a more formal look, add a headband or wrap a small piece of hair around the elastic to hide it. For a more casual look, add texture to the ponytail with a texturizing spray or dry shampoo.

4. Twist around Side Braid

hair, blond, hairstyle, woman, supermodel, I’m in love with this! It isn’t actually an updo, but it does keep your hair out of your face and it takes less than five minutes. It actually isn’t a braid, but more of a creative ponytail. It won’t only have people asking you what you did, but asking you how to do it! To create this, pull your hair in a side ponytail, and then divide the ponytail into two “tails,” and pull them through the opening space right before the ponytail starts, into an “upside down” ponytail. Then, just keep repeating this, creating multiple upside ponytails throughout the whole entire head of hair. It creates this twisted braid effect that is so easy to do! You'll need several elastic bands for this one as well!

You can spice it up with some texturizing spray or even pull out a few strands to frame your face for that effortlessly chic look. Whether you're off to run errands, heading to a casual brunch, or even to a more formal event, this style transitions smoothly. The best part? 5. Low Chignon

hair, hairstyle, blond, bangs, long hair, My favorite low updo is the low chignon, which is great for nights out when you’re going somewhere special, or you just want to give it a little something extra special. Fluff up the bottom half of your hair that is still left down so you get a little volume. If you have thin hair, tease the bottom portion of your hair a little. Then, just take an elastic band and pull it back into a ponytail, pulling it under into a tuck bun. Loosely pull the bun, just to give it a little messy texture. Now, take the top half of your hair that is pinned up, and pull the right side of your hair down around the left side of the low bun, and take the left side of your hair, pulling it down around the right side of the bun, pinning each around your bottom bun. Then, spray a little with hairspray, pin more if needed and you’re done!
